1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
Diego has a good relationship with both but they did not support his dream of going into martial arts when he was a kid. They are very protective over him. After being revived, though his parents are still alive he cannot bring himself to meet them while he is in his skeletal state. They currently still think he is dead.
2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
Well he’s boney with a small crack atop his cranium.
3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
That crack on his head came from when he first battles Nidhogg.
4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
Back then pretty average, he never thought himself unattractive but he never let it cloud his thoughts nor pay much attention to it. Currently with having no skin, he too much rather not see his self as much as possible or let others see him.
5.) What’s your character’s ranking on the KINSEY SCALE?
6.) Describe your character’s happiest memory.
Being able to see wandering spirits for the first time and being trained to use the katana
7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
Yes but it’s a bit of a spoiler…
8.) Day of Favorites! What’s your character’s favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?
Mint, royal purple
9.) Who does your character trust?
Bryson, his first teacher to train him how to use a katana
10.) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.
Having to sacrifice his self to save his town from a dragon, being revived after 20 years to stop a greater chaos.
11.) Is there an animal you equate with your character?
12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
Way behind, Jase is still trying to teach him the ways of mobile phones
13.) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
Neat bedding, foetal position
14.) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
He has no skin but his soul can feel temperature. He does NOT like cold weather at all.
15.) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
Dawn and late night, he’s not a mid day person though
16.) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
His grandmother, he never meet his grandfather. He considers Bryson as blood.
17.) What’s your character’s desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?
Very neat, almost anal about it.
18.) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)
He’s pretty damn good, he was taught very young how to cook and retains it.
19.) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
Walking and bikes, he’s had to do so for most his life since his family never owned a car.
20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?
Although he is aloof and stays to his self a lot, he’d rather not have thoughts about being alone for too long. He also has a fear of skin disease…the irony!
21.) What would your character’s CUTIE MARK be?
A will o’ the wisp
22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?
23.) Is your character superstitious?
A lot less than before, but still a little bit
24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
A sweet quiet girl who is very supportive and modest.
25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
Long and boney…lol
26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.
Rice pudding, Touching souls of the living, no favorite outfit but he loves baggy clothing, Chai tea, Spring, Día de los Muertos and Christmas
27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.
Skin to bone - Linkin Park
During his sacrifice as the death tree entangles them turning their skin to bone and the sword steel to rust.
Aur Kurs - Oomph!
I feel this song is perfect for when he gets captured by Dubrashka and left in dungeon chained up as she saps his spiritual powers away from him.
28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
Horror Fantasy XD
29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
Almonds but that’s only if you are up close sniffing him which he’d not let happen. Other than that he doesn’t produce odor and his bones are clean.
30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.
I know you don’t want to worry them but I really think you should at least let your parents know you have returned. And also, I know they are morons but please give give Jase and Jen a chance XD
This will be finished!
Virgin of the Dead
Hey guys, it’s been a while! Just posting up a revamp of a picture I did back in 2009. The revamp was supposed to be submitted Halloween but I couldn’t finish it on time…and I do not want to rush it.
So here you go.
Pre-school, watching my sister color and draw has inspired me. As far as this style, before I used to just make up what worked for me as a style as a kid cause at that age I never really paid attention to it. By the time I hit the end years in middle school I got influenced by dragon ball z and drew in that style for a pretty long time. After that it was just various anime styles. It wasn’t until my senior year in college where I had to completely drop that style or fail. It was hard but I had to drop that style in a matter of a month…so I have been researching more western style art and slowly started developing it from there with Warner brothers and Don Bluth the core of my inspiration. It was tough times changing it so much rapidly but I am VERY glad I did since it has opened a larger window for experimenting styles that you can honestly claim as yours.
